Robert Marshall BSc, MPubPol

Robert Marshall is a Director of Knowledge Teams International Pty Ltd. He specialises in the development of teams and leaders and research on team effectiveness.

He developed the Knowledge Team Effectiveness Profiling System which is used by knowledge-based organisations throughout the world to increase the effectiveness and creativity of knowledge teams.

He was previously Group Manager, Leadership and Team Development with CSIRO. Between 1988 and 2001, he led a team that had responsibility for the design, delivery and evaluation of professional and personal development programs for the Organisation's senior staff throughout Australia. He also led an internal consultancy service on organisational development and change management.

Between 1996 and 2002, he was also an Associate Professor at Melbourne Business School, The University of Melbourne, where he taught in the MBA program and was involved in a major, three year study of leadership in DSTO, CSIRO, Orica, BHP and Motorola. He is co-author of a course on the Management of R & D for the Deakin University-APESMA Master of Technology distance education program.

Robert holds the degrees of Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Policy from the Australian National University.

Jane Lowther BA(Hons), MBA

Ms Jane Lowther is a Director of Knowledge Teams International Pty Ltd. She specialises in providing leadership development, career planning advice and personal coaching for high achievers in professional organisations.

Until February 2002 she held the position of Manager, Executive Development, with CSIRO Australia. Her specific responsibilities included the design of individual career and management development programs for CSIRO's future leaders. In addition, she provided a range of consulting services in the areas of strategic planning, team building, senior executive coaching and change management. She has previously held senior positions with the Australian Wheat Board and the large mining company, Rio Tinto Ltd.

Jane has also consulted to Booz/Allen/Hamilton for a number of years, providing a range of services including team and leadership development and advice on structuring logical and persuasive presentations.

She has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from the University of Melbourne where she majored in English Literature and Chinese. She speaks fluent Mandarin. She also holds the degree of Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management in Sydney.
